Powerful Truths for Administrators - Steve Backlund

I recently spoke at Bethel Church for Administrators Appreciation Day. Here is some truth I want to release to anyone who currently serves in the role of an administrator.

I "live" because I have a word from the Lord (Matthew 4:4). We can put up with lot of uncertainty and outward non-success if we have a word from the Lord. If I constantly try to get my life out of things going well, I will regularly be battling disappointment.

Here are qualities of forward moving administrators using the word ADMINISTRATE:

Adaptable – You don't need ideal circumstances to thrive because you are "successful on the inside" (Philippians 4:13, 3 John 2).

Dreaming with God – You overcome slave mentalities to contribute powerfully to your ministry and to your leader (Psalm 37:4).

Money Mindsets That Are Healthy – This is the "kindergarten" of true spiritual riches (Luke 16:11). You continually grow in how you think about money.

Influence (Acts 27) – You stay on the "ship" when you do not feel heard. You build trust because trust is the commodity of influence.

Nehemiah Anointing – You build "walls" to protect what God has done and is doing.

Inspiration – Your enthusiasm is a powerful force. Leaders are thermostats, not thermometers. You think and live higher than the environments you are in. You are in training in your current assignment for greater influence ahead. Because of that, you live an inspired life. (Colossians 3:23)

Supernatural – There are no non-supernatural ministries (Zechariah 4:6).

Thankfulness opens "gates" (Psalm 100:4) – You increase thanksgiving to get unstuck in life.

Reproduce yourself – You have the attitude of working yourself out of a job. You help others learn what you know (2 Timothy 2:2).

Anticipate – One of the greatest ways you help your leader and team is to help anticipate things needed to be prepared for (Proverbs 22:3).

Tenacious – You persistently move forward. The difference between those who are fruitful and those who are not is often tenacity (not quitting). "Success is moving from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" – Winston Churchill.  (James 1:12).

Evangelism – Let's not lose the big picture in knowing everything we do is to advance the kingdom and win souls for Jesus (Proverbs 11:30). You are advancing the Kingdom through your actions.
