Breaking Into Your Destiny

Breaking Into Your Destiny

Break the Cycle and Break into your Destiny!

We are human "beings" not human "doings". Too often people get their identity from what they do rather than who they are. When you begin that kind of thinking, a cycle begins of judging yourself by the bad choices you make. And the more we consider ourselves as bad the more our actions will conform to the image we carry of ourselves. Proverbs 23:7 says that as a man thinks in his heart so is he.

Do not get caught in the trap of trying to change your actions before you change your view of who you are. It may seem backward, but it is amazing how quickly you'll see change "just happen" as you change your perception of your identity.

As soon as you figure out who you are, you'll act differently.
1 Peter 1:4 says we are partakers of the Divine Nature.
Gal. 2:20 says we have been crucified with Christ and we no longer live.
Eph. 1:6 says He has made us acceptable in the Beloved.

When these truths become revelation to you and not just theology, a mighty power will be released in you to become what you believe you are.

Every negative experience is a challenge to our identity. After every negative experience we must re-establish who God says we are and resist making a case against ourselves. If we do not do this, we will continue the cycle of thinking and doing.

Break the cycle! Instead of concentrating on changing your behavior, spend more time changing your thoughts about yourself. It changed my life and it will change yours.
